DHI to Update Raritan Landing Virtual World Environment

Diana Blender3D, Museums, Virtual World Environments

We are happy to announce that the Middlesex Office of Cultural and Heritage has invited us to update the Raritan Landing virtual world environment. This virtual exhibit is on permanent display at the East Jersey Olde Towne Village museum in Piscataway, New Jersey. This museum contains a collection of original, replica, and reconstructed structures from the 18th and 19th centuries.

Our initial project recreated the famous Cornelius Low House, Low’s warehouse, and the surrounding landscape. The initial environment also contained large blocks designating additional structures. The update will include additional structures dating to the Revolutionary Ware period as well as more accurate landscaping. The virtual world environment was unveiled as part of the museums grand opening in summer 2014.
